why did you choose to ingest mushrooms before your pregnancy?
I didn't microdose before. I did mid/full doses
why did you choose to ingest mushrooms during your pregnancy?
I didn't microdose during pregnancy, but knowing what I know now, I would have.
what benefits did you notice in your pregnancy?
not in pregnancy

After Birth & Breastfeeding

why did you choose to ingest mushrooms after you gave birth?
because I have felt the immense healing effect that mushrooms have on me, I wanted to integrate that into my daily life without it being a full trip. I felt so full of life, energized, able to tolerate much more as a parent, less activated in my nervous system, more calm.
did you ingest mushrooms while breastfeeding?
Yes
did you notice any benefits to a) yourself b) to your baby and what were the benefits when ingesting mushrooms while breastfeeding?
I felt energized, more tolerant towards meltdowns, more calm, less activated in my nervous system, more able to cope with challenges in parenting. it propelled me through a difficult phase, and I didn't go back to "normal" after. I stayed with this new level of tolerance (in screaming, meltdown situations with my toddler). I didn't have to do more microdosing with that intention, as it was relieved, after years of trying, working on myself, this is what helped.
did you notice any challenges to a) yourself b) to your baby and what were the benefits when ingesting mushrooms while breastfeeding?
I didn't notice any changes in my baby, other than in the dynamic between us, because of my own state of being.

Parenting

what benefits did you notice in your parenting that you attribute to the mushroom?
I was able to stay come during his toddler meltdowns, which was always challenging for me. I wouldn't get activated in my nervous system. I could support him, and be there for him. I didn't have to deal with my own emotions so much in the situation. I wasn't triggered by his meltdowns, screaming and crying. so all the challenging situations, we're alot easier to manage, and stays this way even after stopping microdosing. it was only one month of microdosing, and it's been 4 months since.
what were the unwanted effects or challenges of ingesting mushrooms while parenting?
I didn't feel any unwanted effects.
what benefits have you noticed about your children that you attribute to the mushroom?
nothing, apart from the benefits of me not reacting that way anymore. and he is more able to go through his emotions. he constipation also relieved after 1 year of constipation. so maybe a lot actually.

what would you like to say to other mothers & pregnant/birthing people about your own experience?
I would say, that if you feel you benefit from it, then I also think that you do, and I wouldn't be so scared about any harm done. I think the benefits outweigh any potential risk when pregnant or breastfeeding. during the trip, I have always experienced it as 100% ok, and actually just beneficial for both.
would you recommend this path to other people?
yes, if they naturally feel called to it.
