Pregnancy
why did you choose to ingest mushrooms before your pregnancy?
I didn’t Micro dose. I actually was assisting mushroom ceremonies with a taita on a regular basis. About once a month for a year before I got pregnant. I also went to a kambo ceremony. Before the kambo ceremony I had never been pregnant before and in that ceremony I felt something in my uterus and the following week I became pregnant.
why did you choose to ingest mushrooms during your pregnancy?
I also was not micro dosing throughout my pregnancy. I assisted three ceremonies. One in each trimester. I asked the taita if it was okay to do so. And he gave me the okay. He said that the women in his tribe do it and that it was safe. Because I had been on that path before pregnant I really wanted to feel that connection with my baby in that space as well. I found it to be a really beautiful experience.
what benefits did you notice in your pregnancy?
Since this was my first pregnancy I can’t say how it would have been without mushrooms. But my pregnancy was very smooth. No morning sickness or pain of any kind.
After Birth & Breastfeeding
why did you choose to ingest mushrooms after you gave birth?
I have started micro dosing after giving birth. Mainly to help combate PPD. I have battled with depression for a large part of my life and thought that the medicine of the mushrooms could help me out in this new phase in my life. And I definitely feel it has helped a lot. I don’t microdose every day. Maybe 2-3 times in the week.

Summary
what would you like to say to other mothers & pregnant/birthing people about your own experience?
I had a great experience with this. But it’s also because I felt that calling. I feel how we relate to something strongly effects how we interact with something.
would you recommend this path to other people?
I would say that if you feel the calling to listen to that. If it’s something that makes you uncomfortable than it might not be right for you. But if you do feel that calling it’s okay to do it.
